This is an important point and I find it odd that the English left this out in favor of focusing on the past/future comment. I’m assuming this is only part of a larger bit of dialogue in the game that was reorganized in the localization; hopefully the full version in-game will feel more complete.
Same with Cloud's line about Zack where he isn't mentioned by name in English. I suppose Cloud mentions Zack's name either just before or just after the line in the trailer. wouldn't make much sense otherwise.
I think it's the same for Aerith's line here which will receive more context in the full scene.
On the other hand, the localization team did change the meaning and tenor of several scenes in Remake. We'll have to wait and see.
